The Leader of Opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa has doubted if the current leadership is capable of fixing the broken system.
Nankhumwa made the remarks in parliament while responding to State of Nation Address (SONA) delivered President Lazarus Chakwera last week Thursday.
According to Nankhumwa, the economic situation in the country is now worse than before.
On corruption, Nankhumwa said the sharp promises about fighting corruption that were made by the Tonse leaders during the campaign have faded away.
“Instead of a Bill to trim his powers Chakwera brought a Bill that killed the right of workers to hold a strike.” Said Nankhumwa.
He attacked Chakwera saying he uses nice English but does the opposite.
“We have a president who takes ages to make decisions and who loves traveling around the world to make beautiful speeches without taking action.”
