President Lazarus Chakwera has assented to three bills that were passed during the 4th Meeting of Parliament held in November/December, 2021.
Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara made the announcement in Parliament Chamber yesterday.
The Acts that were assented to were published in the Gazette of 4th February, 2022 effectively making them laws of this country.
The Acts are as follows…
- i) Act No. 1 of 2022: Political Parties (Amendment)
- ii) Act No. 2 of 2022: International Development Association (Malawi Education Reform Programme Project) Loan (Authorization)
iii) Act No. 3 of 2022: International Development Association (Additional Financing for the Southern Africa Trade and Transport Facilitation (Phase 2 Project) Loan (Authorization).
