Lilongwe-based Multi-award-winning musician Martin Nkhata alias ‘Martse’ has revealed that he will drag mobile network companies; Airtel and TNM to court over unpaid caller tunes profits.
Writing on his Facebook wall, Martse says the two companies have been using his songs as caller tunes for five years but he has never pocketed anything from the service.
“My songs have been used as caller tunes by TNM and Airtel Malawi services. I want to know where my money is…5 years straight …I know am not the only one but I tried to call buy you all acting slick. Muwuzana”. He wrote.
Martse has confirmed through a phone interview that he has left the case to his lawyers so that he should claim his money back.
The network service providers are yet to comment on the issue.
Martse is one of the hottest artists who is well known for producing hit songs such as ‘Mwano’ which was released in 2016 and ‘Mkatimo’ last year’s anthem.
