As cases of street kids terrorizing major cities of the country is no longer surprising, people have resorted in dealing with the young culprits on their own.

Yesterday, angry people nearly killed an alleged street kid on fire on the allegations that he robbed a man in the commercial city of Blantyre.

The people severely beat the kid without showing remorse and resorted to set him on fire before the police came to his rescue.

According to Blantyre Police Spokesperson  Peter Mchiza, police rescued the boy along the Haile Selassie road.

The child, however, escaped as he was about to get treated at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.
