David Beer, British High Commissioner has hailed Malawi media for doing a commendable job in exposing corruption and promoting accountability.
Beer was speaking today in Lilongwe at Mtolankhani House where he is attending a discussion organized by MISA Malawi.
Citing an example of Bobby Kabango’s investigation on charcoal smuggling last year as an excellent example of journalism which must be appreciated and promoted.
This year’s theme of the discussion is dubbed “State of Media Freedom in Malawi: Threats and Opportunities for 2022”.
