18 People In Cooler For Attempting To Kill Two Women Over Witchcraft In Dedza

Police in Dedza have arrested eighteen people for allegedly assaulted and attempted to kill two women over witchcraft allegations.
Deputy spokesperson for Dedza Police, Cassim Manda, confirmed of the development.
According to Manda the people naked, hacked and tried to kill two women for reasons bordering on superstition.
The latest fracas was ignited by the death of a person who had, however, been bedridden for a long time.
The two women injured by stone pelting, whipping and panga knives strikes, have since been rushed to Dedza district Hospital.
The suspects are known to have been in a fight against another family over land issues.
The suspects hail from Mapulosi village in the area of TA Kasumbu.
