The Leader of Opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa Leader of Opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa has today announced a total of 33 member Shadow cabinet.

According to Nankhumwa, the Shadow cabinet has been appointed to help provide checks and balances.

This did not please the spokesperson for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Shadreck Namalomba who has described the move as unprocedural saying the House does not recognize shadow cabinet ministers.

According to Namalomba, in place of shadow ministers, Spokespersons were supposed to be appointed to respond to different issues in the House since Spokespersons are the ones that the House recognizes.

Namalomba has been left out in the shadow cabinet.

In the Shadow cabinet, Nicholas Dausi who has been appointed as minister of Homeland Security, Bright Msaka as minister of Justice, Mark Botoman as shadow minister of Information and digitization, Vuwa Kaunda as Defense minister.

Joseph Mwanamvekha as finance minister and Gladys Ganda as shadow minister of Trade. Yereniah Chihana has been appointed minister of foreign affairs, Ralph Jooma as Transport minister and Werani Chilenga as Natural resources minister.
