Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for Eastern Region Bright Msaka SC has pulled out the Shadow Cabinet appointed by leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa.

The development comes barely days after DPP through their Administrative Secretary General Francis Mphepo, said they do not recognize the shadow cabinet.

In a letter addressed to Nankhumwa copied to Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara, Msaka said being part of the DPP leadership that does not recognise the Shadow Cabinet he is not part of the shadow cabinet.

“As you are aware, the leadership of our party, the Democratic Progressive Party, does not agree with the manner in which the shadow cabinet was appointed, the DPP leadership does not recognise the Shadow Cabinet, accordingly, please be informed that I do not belong to the shadow cabinet,” Msaka said in a letter.

Msaka was appointed as Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.
