Leader of Opposition in Parliament Kondwani Nankhumwa has failed to provide evidence for his claims that the new Cabinet is composed of corrupt minds.

Nankhumwa made the allegations during his official response to President Lazarus Chakwera’s State of the Nation Address (Sona).

Second Deputy Speaker Aisha Mambo Adams said Nankhumwa failed to justify his allegations in his submitted evidence.

The Second Deputy Speaker read in Parliament, a communique from the Office of Speaker before adjourning the house on Wednesday.

She said: “I would like to inform the house that at exactly 14:05, the leader of opposition submitted his evidence but upon scrutiny, the Office of the Speaker has noted that the evidence does not hold water.”

She then asked for removal of what Nankhumwa said from records of the house.
