A 26 year old Malawian lady who went missing on Wednesday after being swept away by raging waters in Mulanje district has been found dead.
The deceased has been identified as Rejoice Gama from Nkhuku Village, in Senior Chief Chikumbu’s area.
According to Mulanje police spokesperson Gresham Ngwira Gama was in company of two men George Kamwana and George Mwale who were having alcohol beverages at Chitakale trading center.
After they were done drinking they left Mulanje together with Gama heading Blantyre upon reaching Chikuli Bridge on the Nkando—Limbe Road, they were overwhelmed by floods. The three came out of the car and attempted to cross the river, with the men making it to the other side while Gama failed.
Meanwhile, the body of Gama has been found and burial will take place today
