At least four out of ten people who were involved in a boat accident on Thursday last week, are still missing.

This according to a statement by the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) seen by this publication.

According to the statement, the rescue mission is still underway to locate the remaining people, and hopefully rescue them.

Earlier, ESCOM had announced that 6 people were rescued and are in good health.

The six rescued include one Escom staff, two marine officers and three villagers.

According to the statement, the yet to be allocated are two Escom staff and two villagers.
