Former PF Deputy Secretary General Mrs Mumbi Phiri has been formally arrested and charged with murder in Kaoma.
Mrs Phiri has been jointly charged with her co-accused, Shebby Chilekwa, former President Edgar Lungu’s barber.
The duo have since appeared before Kaoma Magistrate Bestin Hamaseke, on allegations that they murdered UPND supporter Lawrence Banda who was shot during the council Chairperson by-election in Kaoma in 2019.
The matter has been adjourned to March 10, 2022 for mention as the two suspects remain in custody.
