The Asian Community has strongly condemned acts of corruption at all levels and has since vowed to play a role in fighting the vice.

Through the Asian Business Community, the section has stressed that it will not shield any of its members alleged to be involved in acts of corruption.

Recently there have been voices of discontent by some members of the public, who have been pointing a finger at some Malawians of Asian origin whom they accuse of involvement in various acts of corruption.

Chairperson of the Asian Business Community, Blantyre Chapter Ranjan Pereira has told the Press that they are distancing their membership from any form of corruption, which it describes as deadly cancer undermining the rule of law.

The community is thus committing to support state agencies involved in the fight against corruption, particularly the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
