Police have arrested five more people in connection to the torching of Bvumbwe Police Sub-Station on top of the 28 who were arrested earlier, after the incident, and are on bail.

Reports indicate that angry villages went on rampage and torched the sub-station’s offices after a suspect reportedly died in the hands of the law enforcers.

Widson Nhlane, who is Deputy Public Relations officer of Limbe Police Station—under which Bvumbwe Sub-Station falls—said the five will appear in court soon once the paperwork has been completed.

They are Thomas Labati, 27, Saidi Mahata, 40, James Chilambe, 21, Stephano Beston, 27, and Maliko Elias, 34.
