Some tobacco farmers have sealed Malawi Revenue Authority offices in Kasungu this morning for a vigil demanding refunds of withholding taxes dating from 2014 to 2020.

The farmers are from over fifty farmers clubs who are accusing MRA of playing hide and seek games over their refunds.

Chairman of the concerned tobacco farmers Marichi Mbewe said they have come to camp at the office as a vigil until MRA pays them because all deadlines MRA gave them passed.

They have brought with them firewood, flour and beddings.

There was no immediate comment from MRA.
