Malawi Police Service (MPS) has confirmed the arrest of Aubrey Sumbuleta -former MBC Director-General.
According to James Kadadzera, National Police Spokesperson, the police’s Fiscal and Fraud Unit has arrested Sumbuleta over the fraudulent procurement process of some company vehicles when he was heading the MBC.
Kadadzera said Sumbuleta is currently being held at Blantyre Police Station and will appear in court within 48 hours of his arrest.
