Police in Lilongwe have arrested a 29-year old man for allegedly terrorizing Areas 6 and 3 and stealing assorted items in the process.

Sub Inspector Foster Benjamin, Deputy PRO, Lilongwe Police Station said the law enforcers have since recovered some of the items during the arrest.

The suspect, identified as Dinno Shano, was busted on Tuesday, 8 March 2022 in Area 23.

His arrest follows a series of break-ins in Areas 6 and 3 between January and February this year.

Lilongwe Police Station’s detectives had their boots running until they got Shano captured on Tuesday.

They recovered some items which include two TV plasma screens, home theatre, three speakers, two tablet phones, DSTV decoder, six TV remote controls, seven laptop chargers, car amplifier and a sound box.

Shano will be taken to the court any time soon to answer charges of burglary and theft.

Currently all the items are still being kept at Lilongwe Police Station awaiting identification from owners.

Shano comes from Ilemba Village Traditional Authority Nthache in Mwanza District.
