As cases of suicide are rampant in the neighboring Zambia, a uniformed police officer is reportedly to have shot himself to death.
The officer was from Mansa District of Luapula Province.
The officer, whose particulars are not yet known was on duty when he decided to take his life.
Reasons for the decision to take his own life are not yet known.
