Classes were disrupted recently at Makgofe Secondary School in Limpopo after 40 learners started behaving strange.

The Limpopo Department of Education says they  are yet to find answers on what was behind the strange behaviour, but it does not resemble physical illness.

The school reported an incident where 40 learners from different grades and classes started falling down and rolling on the floor, soon after they arrived at school.

The South African reports that spokesperson for the department, Tidimalo Chuene says normal teaching and learning have been interrupted since the incident.

“About 40 learners from the Makgofe Secondary School started displaying strange behavior on Thursday soon after they arrived at school.”

She furthermore said they are bringing on board additional experts to assist them in finding a solution to allow teaching to continue.
