A court in Dowa has denied bail to 57-year-old man, Mickson Daniel suspected of defiling a mentally challenged girl.
State Prosecutor Mary Kaponda told the court that the suspect, allegedly defiled the girl last month when she wanted to fetch fire from the suspect house. The suspect pleaded not guilty to the charges and hearing of the case has been adjourned to 23rd March.
First Grade Magistrate Talakwanji Mdala failed to grant the bail as matter is still under investigation.
