The final resting place for former Republican President Rupiah Banda is currently being prepared in Lusaka at the presidential burial site.
A check today found men and women in uniform preparing the site.
Mr Banda died on 11 March 2022 after battling with colon cancer.
He served as Zambian president from 2008 to 2011 following the demise of president Levy Mwanawasa.
He will be put to rest this Friday.
