A 58 year old woman Monica Banda was rescued by the Fire Brigade after after the pit latrine collapsed on her when she went to answer the call of nature in Zambia.
When the onlookers want to assist she refused and insisted they should call the fire brigade.
At around 11:20hrs Fire Brigade received a report from a running caller Mr John Bwalya informed the fire department of the accident which occurred in Namulundu village.
The team who rush to the scene did the rescue operation and managed to retrieve her alive from the collapsed bit latrine and was rushed to the hospital.
The woman is believed to have come from brown village and was in namulundu village for business.
