Govt Suspects Sabotage In Prices Of Commodities, To Offer Licenses To Parties Interested In Cooking Oil Importation

Government through the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mark Katsonga Phiri suspects sabotage by other big retailers in the country as prices of commodities are rising day by day.
Katsonga Phiri said they have hence moved to investigate prices of raw materials and finished goods as a matter of comparison within and outside the country.
He further said his ministry is ready to issue licenses to everyone interested to import cooking oil if local manufacturers are not willing to reduce their prices.
Malawians are waiting to witness the drop of prices of goods once the 2022/2023 budget passes.
