High Court in Zomba has adjourned to May 31 hearing of an application challenge by Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda against Democratic Progressive Party, Shadreck Namalomba’s injunction.
Earlier this month, Namalomba obtained a stay order restraining Leader of Opposition, Kondwani Nankhumwa from making decisions in parliament without consulting the party’s leadership.
The order also invalidates Nankhumwa’s decisions in the August House from around 15th February 2022 which includes the announced opposition seating plan and shadow cabinet.
Some sources within the judiciary say the hearing could not start on Thursday as Namalomba had given an excuse that he was in parliament and could not make it so sign documents.
