Court reverses nullification of election of a councilor in Zambia

The Constitutional Court has reversed the nullification of PF’s Chalata Ward Councillor, Bal Mwenya and has declared her duly elected Councillor for Chalata Ward.
Concourt Judge, Judy Z Mulungoti delivered the Judgement on behalf of the Constitutional Court.
The court held that the Local Government Tribunal that nullified the seat had misdirected itself when it held that the Appellant was not duly elected based on the uncorroborated evidence of the witnesses.
