General secretary of Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP) Blantyre synod Rev Dr Billy Gama has expressed his desire to see president Lazarus Chakwera ruling the country beyond 2025.
Speaking during the first graduation of the University of Blantyre synod, Gama heaped praise on the election of Chakwera saying this is a proof that pastors can also do great things.
He further expressed hope that after Chakwera’s ten years he shall pass on the leadership to another person of his character.
This is coming weeks after MCP’s vice president for the North Harry Mkandawire said Chakwera will be the party’s torch bearer in the coming elections.
During the event reverend Edna Navaya was unveiled as University of Blantyre Synods first chancellor.
