Parliament Forfeits Allowances Of 130 MPs For Being Absent

Speaker of Parliament Catherine Gotani has disclosed that 130 Members of Parliament (MPs) were absent at the beginning of today’s business in the chamber.
Hara has acknowledged that some of the MPs sought leave of absence.
She has further revealed that those absent for no known reason have forfeited their sitting allowances.
