Blantyre Police has announced it will not shield any street kidding barbaric acts that have resulted to a spate of chaos and attacks since January, this year.
Blantyre Police Station Public Relations Officer, Sub Inspector Peter Mchiza sounded the warning on Monday in an interview with Malawi News Agency.
“No single street kid or street father shall be spared as they bring in unnecessary torture and miseries, “he said.
He was, however, quick to point out that not all attacks are perpetrated or orchestrated by street kids.
Mchiza cited that the most recent incident where a Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) lecturer was attacked just last Saturday along Chitawira/MUBAS short cut route.
In this case, the perpetrators were not street kids upon thorough interrogations, according to Mchiza.
He said everybody should get fully involved in policing barbarism and report any suspicious behaviour to law enforcers or stakeholders.
