Malawi Red Cross Society with the help from the Kuwait Red Crescent donated food items to Muslims in Mangochi.

Dan Banda, head of health and social services, said “The motto of this donation is to give hope to those that are in need and we have managed to give the donation to the muslims because they are observing Ramadhan.”

Banda  made this remarks in the area of traditional authority Mponda in Mangochi district.

Red cross has helped 400 households in four districts including Mangochi with 100 households in the district, this has been done because some people cannot manage to have food to use during the month of Ramadhan, he explained.

After receiving the donation, Sheik Fahad Kamsuli thanked the Malawi Red cross in collaboration with people of Kuwait for the donation and asked them to continue helping the needy in the country.
