A man has sued his neighbour for installing a CCTV camera at an apartment where they reside in Nairobi’s Kilimani area.

According to the petitioner, Kennedy Ondieki, the surveillance camera installed by his neighbour Hellen Maeda is invading his privacy.

He now wants the court to order the neighbour to uninstall the camera, arguing that his efforts to persuade her to remove it have been futile.

Ondieki argues that the camera was installed without his consent, adding that he is afraid that he is being watched and can’t enjoy his privacy in peace.
