Well-known social commentator Joshua Chisa Mbele has hailed Attorney General Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda for openly challenging body guard of former President Peter Mutharika, Norman Chisale who is demanding Mk500 million from government over when he called false arrest.
Chisale was arrested for attempting to kill a woman in Chilobwe but court acquitted him. In retaliation Chisale sued government for false arrest on the matter and he is demanding Mk500 compensation.
But Chakaka Nyirenda has refused to pay the said money.
In his argument, Chakaka Nyirenda said state was not wrong to prosecute Chisale although he was acquitted, adding that he is ready for defense if Chisale proceeds to court with the matter.
Writing on his official facebook page Chisa Mbele applauded Chakaka Nyirenda on the matter.
“Well Done AG.Come for a drink ,” wrote Chisa Mbele.
Meanwhile, Chisale’s lawyer Chancy Gondwe said he is yet to receive a response from Chakaka Nyirenda.
