World Health Organisation(WHO) says apart from commemorating  World health day, it will not stop working together with the Ministry of Health so that they can be able to provide enough medical training to the health care givers.

Dr Janet Kayita, Acting World Health Organisation Representatives to Malawi made the remarks after the donation of Cholera Medical equipment to the Ministry of Health in Lilongwe on the commemoration of World Health Day which was held by the theme “Our planet Our Health”.

“We have strongly coordinated on Cholera response at national and district levels, including cross-border with strong surveillance systems, with immunization of at-risk population as we fight and end Cholera and avoid fatalities from cholera,” she said.

Khumbize Chiponda ,minister of Health, said the Ministry of Health together with partners is planning climate change activities to talk more on climate change effects on health.

Khumbize thanked the WHO for the support that the organisation has given to Malawi saying this will help in the fighting of cholera.
