Health Surveillance Assistants on strike, storm Bwaila District Hospital

Health surveillance assistants within Bwaila Health Area have camped at Bwaila District Hospital in a bid to force authorities to pay them allowance arrears dating back to April, 2021.
The HSA’s claim each was supposed to pocket K127,000.00 from services rendered for Child Health Days, National LLINS Mass Distribution and the COVID-19 pandemic.
A visit to Bwaila District Hospital, faceofmalawi reporter found the disgruntled HSAs chanting anti-government songs.
Some were spotted carrying placards with various messages.
Government is ye to comment on the matter.
