Father Harrison Kalulu of Chinamwali Anglican church in Zomba has asked church members to repent as one way of commemorating the risen of Jesus Christ and doing charity work during the period helps to accomplish Jesus mission here on earth.
Father Kalulu made the remarks at Chinamwali Anglican during the church’s service on sunday the 17 April,2022 , when Christians all over the world were commemorating the risen of Jesus Christ.
“We sow seeds in our gardens with hope in our hearts that the seeds that we have planted will germinate but if the seed embryo is damaged that means the seed is not going to germinate even if we have hope of seed germination it will not germinate, this is the likeness with Jesus Christ he died on the cross to show us how much he loves his people and by defeating death he has proved that he is the seed which everyone needs to plant in their hearts”, Kalulu said
He then argued his congregates to plant this seed in their hearts so that they should have bumper harvest when harvesting season arrives and that to have Christ is to have eternal life.
One of the church member, Priscillah Kalambalala said she commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ each year with hope of following His footsteps whether in doing charity works and meditating on the word to be closer to Him.
“I have been doing way of the cross since I was a child and this year’s is exceptional because have seen God’s hand in my life and I thank Jesus for His death, had it been Jesus did not die for our sins the world could have been dangerous and not worthy living”, she concluded,
Christians in the world celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ by walking the Way of the Cross on Good Friday.
