Police in Dedza have confirmed the arrested of one person in connection with the murder of Cosmas Malekano, a student at Umbwi secondary school in the district.
Officer in Charged for Dedza Police Station Mwiza Nyoni made the confirmation.
However, Nyoni did not give details of the arrested person.
She said that police are still continuing with investigations and very soon every person involved will be arrested and brought to book.
Currently, at least five police officers have been deployed to Umbwi Secondary to provide security to the school at night.
Malekan, a form four student was brutally murdered last week before he was forced to take poison.
