Four-time African player of the year Samuel Eto’o has been praised since assuming office as the President of the Cameroonian football federation.
The legend promised not to receive salaries as president was fulfilled as such wages were diverted towards player wellbeing.
As part of his policies to ensure players earn the right amounts for their work, Eto’o has advocated for high wages for players in the Cameroonian women’s football league, the Guineas Super League which kickstarts soon.
According to reports, 100,000frs a month. Whilst the headline sponsor is expected to pay each of them an amount of 50,000frs, Eto’o personally decided to add 50,000frs more to each player’s monthly earnings.
Another initiative made in the best interest of the players by the FECAFOOT president is an instruction he gave out for every club to ensure that, players are duly enrolled on the National Social Insurance Fund, CNPS.
