Two Chisiyo Primary School learners killed in road accident in Lilongwe, angry people on rampage

Two learners from Chisiyo Primary School have been killed in hit-and-run accident along the Lilongwe West Bypass Road.

The two were among learners who were protesting against a proposed K1,000 development fee which the school committee has introduced.

The development has angered people living around the area who have blocked the road with burning tyres and stones.

Meanwhile, there are running battles between police and the angry crowd which is demanding the arrest of the driver who is currently on the run.

Teargas is now all over the area.
