Malawi leader Lazarus Chakwera has reacted to a pastoral letter which was issued by Nkhoma Synod of Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) which faulted his leadership months after Catholic Bishops wrote a pastoral letter on the same.

Speaking yesterday at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe during a press briefing, Chakwera said he has heard and noted the two letters as a Christian belonging to the denominations and he will take the advice provided.

When asked how he rates his performance for the past two years he has been in power, Chakwera said he is like a student and the job to rate his performance is not his saying that he will leave that to Malawians.

He two letters have questioned Chakwera allegiance in fighting corruption of which the denominations think that Tonse Alliance’s efforts to end corruption has proved to be futile.

However, Chakwera insisted that his fight against corruption remains unchanged and that he will do anything to ensure that corruption has been fought to the core.

Chakwera led government is also been accused of nepotism and failure to fulfill campaign promises which were made prior to June 23, 2022 fresh presidential elections.

But government has been asking Malawians to be patient adding that Tonse Alliance leadership is working tireless to ensure that Malawi becomes a better place for all.
