Ghanaian referee Kenny Padi has shockingly claimed that he is now suffering from erection problems since he awarded a dubious penalty in a top-of-the-table match.

Padi said that his manhood is no longer functioning as expected after he awarded a controversial penalty to Asante Kotoko in their match against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

Asante Kotoko edged their fierce rivals 1-0, courtesy of the goal they scored from the spot-kick.

However, the Ghanaian referee has been experiencing nightmares since the match and has not had an erection.

In an interview on Ewiase FM, Kenny Padi said,

“I have not had an erection since the day I awarded the penalty against Hearts of Oak.”

“Sometimes I get strange and horrific nightmares, I can’t sleep.”

Worse was to come for Padi. Hearts of Oak, who were clearly aggrieved by the referee’s controversial decision, filed a complaint against him with the Ghana Football Association over his performance.

After reviewing footage from the match, the Match Review Panel of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) suspended Padi for the rest of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) season.

“The referee failed to defend his decision and later admitted that there was no stepping of the foot as he claimed. Again, the referee said there was a push on Gama which was also not emphatically proven in the video,” the statement stated.

In addition, the report noted that the match video showed quite a number of inconsistencies in his decisions during the match especially after the penalty incident, adding that “the referee lost concentration.”

“The panel concluded that the referee erred in awarding the penalty which changed the outcome of the match,” the statement added.
