The Entertainers Promotion has said all is set for legendary musician MacDonald Mlaka Maliro’s welcome show which will take place tomorrow, April 30, 2022 at Blantyre Sports Club in Blantyre and on May 7, 2022 in Lilongwe.
Entertainers Promotion Director Tonderai Banda confirmed this to the press adding that the event will be bigger than ever considering that people missed Mlaka for the past years.
“You know it has been long since Mlaka has been out of the stage and people missed him, now we have brought him back and this is going to be bigger than ever before because we are about to make history with the event and most Malawians are looking forward to see Mlaka Maliro again on stage with us”, said Tonderai.
Billy Kaunda who is also expected to perform at Mlaka’s homecoming shows said he is read and geared up to support Mlaka whom he considers as a brother.
“I will be there at the show with my two brothers Mlaka Maliro and Lucius Banda, it is not a throwback Thursday people but its real, see you there”, said Kaunda.
Apart from Kaunda the show is also carrying creams such as Soldier Lucius Banda, Ndirande Anglican Voices, Great Angels Choir, Saul Chembezi, Eli Njuchi, Nepsounds, Khuzah Ramphi among others.
For the past years, Mlaka has been serving as a pastor at prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s led church Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG), he was in Eswatin as a National Pastor.
Announcing his resignation as an ECG pastor Mlaka said he wants to concentrate on his music career and family.
This will be Mlaka’s second appearance on stage since he came back in the country after he performed at Mibawa Multipurpose Hall in Blantyre.
