Councillor for Mbalachanda Ward Moster Lungu has dumped United Transformation Movement (UTM) and joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
Lungu joined MCP together with Councillor Paul Chondo an independent.
The two were welcomed into MCP fold on Tuesday at a ceremony held at Euthini EPA HALL in Mzimba District.
The event was grace by Joseph Chavula, Regional Chair for North South region, Hon Dollar Nyimba Regional secretary North South region, His worship the Mayor of Mzuzu City council, Hon Kamuzimu Gondwe regional organizing secretary, Hon Clement Manda DOY North South region, Mama Martha Chimpozo chairlady North South region and Euthini District secretary Hon Mathews Shaba.
The two have since promised to support President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera in uplifting the country’s development.
