Information sourced by faceofmalawi indicates that the country on Friday morning experienced a national wide power cut due to s system failure.
The national wide power cut happened at around 11:08am.
The power utility body, Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on its official facebook page seen by this publication.
“We experienced a system shutdown at 11:08hours today that resulted in loss of electricity supply countrywide. We are yet to establish the caus,” reads in part the statement.
