The former ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has spoken on calls that it’s current leader the former president Peter Mutharika should represent the party in 2025.

Other senior members of the party are asking the former president to make a comeback in 2025 by representing the party as it’s presidential candidate.

According to the party officials this is the only way the party’s infights could be defeated.

However, the Party’s National Organizing Secretary, Chimwemwe Chipungu has said that the party and Mutharika himself have not made any decision yet on calls for the party’s president to stand again at their forthcoming convention.

According to Chipungu the decisions will be known in due course.
