Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Member of Parliament for Mchinji South Deus Gumba who is also Deputy Minister of lands has said President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will rule the country up to 2030.
Gumba’s remarks come barely a week after Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara endorsed Chakwera as MCP’s torchbearer in the 2025 Presidential polls.
“Malawi Congress Party is here to stay and Chakwera will complete his second term,” said Gumba.
He made the remarks in Mchinji this afternoon at Tembwe Primary School ground where President Chakwera is holding a developmental rally.
Chakwera is yet to comment on the matter.
