‘Mbadwa Zokhudzidwa za Malawi’ leaders, Redson Munlo and Agape Khombe will appear in court today with other 3 members after they were picked yesterday by police in Lilongwe over anti-Martha Chizuma protests.
The grouping attempted to close Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) offices in their quest to press for the ACB chief’s dismissal, over her alleged violation of her oath-of-office.
They started marching from the Kamuzu Mausoleum to ACB offices when police officers ordered them to stop because they did not have official clearance.
The law enforcers then used teargas to disperse the demonstrators who were adamant to proceed to the graft-busting body’s offices.
The five have been charged with conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
