High Court Judge Redson Kapindu has ruled that former Minister of Lands was arrested by the country’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) over his alleged involvement in corruption activities.

Last year, the ACB issued a warrant of arrested for the former minister for being involved in corrupt activities with businessman Zuneth Sattar.

However, Msukwa challenged his arrest in January this year and went to court for a review alongside Ashok Nair, Sattar’s agent who was at the moment remanded to Maula prison but was later released.

In his ruling, Judge Kapindu also faulted the ACB for handcuffing Msukwa.

According to Kapindu, the ACB would have considered the old age of Msukwa and state of health and the possibility of him dodging the arrest.
