Information sourced by this publication indicates that organizers of the Winter Amapiano Vibes paid Mk6 million for the South Africa’s sensational dancer Zodwa Wabantu to perform in the country.

Zodwa Wabantu was scheduled to be in the country for the show scheduled to be held at The Dominics Hotel in Nyambadwe, Blantyre today.

But Minister of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife Michael Usi has blocked the dancer from performing in the country.

Myuziki Pusha Entertainment Director Biggie Lu has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Biggie Lu, the terms and agreements of the contract with Zodwa included the K6 million appearance fee which is non-refundable.

“What happens is that when these artists are being booked they also have some people looking for their services. The understanding is that they prioritise you over the others. If they were to return that money it would be a loss of business for them,” Biggie Lu was quoted as saying in one of the local daily papers (Nation Publications Limited).

Meanwhile, the show is on today and it will be headlined by South African amapiano star Vukani and Nigerian Soul Barbie.
