The Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal Judge Frank Kapanda has granted a stay order stopping the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) from commencing criminal proceedings against former Minister of Lands Kezzie Msukwa pending appeal.
The development comes barely hours after ACB recorded Msukwa’s caution statement in a corruption case concerning Zuneth Sattar.
Weeks ago the High Court vacated an injunction obtained by Msukwa on the matter seeking review of the case.
ACB Director General Martha Chizuma is yet to comment on the new development.
