Four people are reported dead while several others have sustained injuries after a minibus they were travelling in overturned at Mapira near Lizulu in Ntcheu.
The accident happened on Tuesday night.
District Police Spokesperson Rebecca Ndiwate has confirmed of the accident in an interview with the press.
According to Ndiwate, the vehicle, registration number LL 1723, was coming from the direction of Dedza heading to Ntcheu with 15 passengers on board.
Upon reaching at Mapira village the driver of the minibus lost control and the vehicle several times due to over speeding.
The survivors who are 11 in total are currently receiving treatment at Ntcheu District Hospital.
