All Traffic Police Officers going for or conducting Traffic checks have been directed to make sure that they are accompanied by an armed Police Officer or have someone within the team to carry a riffle.

The development follows incident of violence against Traffic police officers with the latest being the assault of traffic officers by passengers at Nandos in Blantyre.
